Where's the camera when you need it? Today while we were having lunch in our trailer, we were watching a mother sage rat and her baby. Kent said "Where's the Hawk when you need it?" And in less than a minute, a big hawk came down and landed on the sage rats. She had one in each talon. She just sat there and squoze the sage rats. She left with the mother and when we came home later this afternoon, the baby was gone also. It was so amazing! The sage rats are all over here, so it is not sad to see some used as dinner for others. We didn't dare move to get the camera because the hawk was about 5 feet away and looking at us.
