Not just a coincidence...Miracles happen every day.
This has been a busy summer. I had plans to keep this blog up to date about our mission. Then, my computer crashed. Also, our computer service hasn't been the greatest. But I might as well start sometime, eh? We alternate morning and afternoon shifts and we have about 50 missionary couples here. When we are on morning shift, we might be asked to have an evening assignment, ie. calling square dances, telling the Ephraim Hanks and Thisbe Reed stories, and other pioneer stories. Well, Monday, our good friends, Heber & Diane Lloyd came to visit. We hiked to Devils Gate. Then came home and Kent bar-b-qued some great salmon. After dinner, we had been asked to call sqaure dancing to a family of 7. So, we invited the Lloyds to come with and also a couple other missionaries. After square dancing, we found out that Richard Hart's wife is the grand-daughter of Hazel Peterson, whom I knew growing up in Astoria, Oregon. Tuesday, we hiked to Martin's Cove and even did a River Crossing. Then we drove to Alcova and had a great hamburger. After lunch, we went to Independence Rock and home to Kent's great Dutch-oven Chicken dinner. We got to play dominos with Heber & Diane, just like old times in Hawaii.
